Acer launched the Iconia B1 tablet back in January this year which arrived with a 7 inch display and today, the Taiwanese giant has unveiled the Acer Iconia A1-810 tablet in the US which packs a 7.9 inch IPS display while being powered by a quad-core processor. The Acer Iconia A1’s IPS Display has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixel which gives users a decent pixel density and the 1.2 GHz quad-core processor from MediaTek takes care of all the processing when coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The Acer Iconia A1-810 has a 5 megapixel camera on the rear of the tablet while a front facing VGA camera has been included for users.

Acer has launched the Iconia A1-810 in two variants which are Wi-Fi-only and 3G + WiFi and will be made available in 8 GB and 16 GB internal storage options which will be expandable to 32 GB using a microSD card slot. The Acer Iconia A1-810 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS which is the latest iteration out there. Connectivity-wise, the Acer Iconia A1 packs in the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack. While 2G and 3G connectivity will be available on the Wi-Fi + 3G variant of the tablet. All of this is powered by a 3250 mAh battery.

Acer is planning to make the Iconia A1 available in the US markets by the end of this month and the 8 GB version will be available for $169 while the 16 GB variant will be up for sale for $199 which seems to be a decent pricing.
