With LG kicking off the IFA 2013 announcements with the unveiling of the LG G Pad 8.3, Acer has also gone ahead and made the Acer Iconia A3 tablet official. The Acer Iconia A3 is a 10.1 inch tablet which packs in some decent specifications and arrives with a price tag that of a 7 inch tablets out there which should be a nice selling point for the device if launched rightly in various markets especially the developing ones.


The Acer Iconia A3 has a 10.1 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels while being powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor while there is no information on the RAM which the tablet arrives with. Internal memory is pegged at 16 GB and 32 GB which will further be expandable using a microSD card slot up to 32 GB. The Acer Iconia A3 carries a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a front facing camera has also been made available for video chats.

The Acer Iconia A3 which will be showcased at the IFA 2013 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and will be available in Wi-Fi only and 3G + Wi-Fi variants. Weighing just 600 grams, the tablet is also equipped with Dolby Digital Plus which will go on to offer 5.1 channel surround sound experience to users. There is no information on the battery which will power the Acer Iconia A3 but the tablet has been priced at 249 Euros for the Wi-Fi only version and will be made available first in Middle East, Europe and Africa starting in October while the 3G + Wi-Fi variant will go on sale sometime in November for 299 Euros.
