Acer has today announced another addition to its existing range of Android smartphone with the launch of the Acer Liquid E2 after the success of the Acer Liquid E1 smartphone. The Acer Liquid E2 is targeted at multimedia users and has a 4.5 inch Capacitive display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels. The device is the first quad-core smartphone from the company and a 1.2 GHz MediaTek MT6589 quad-core Cortex-A7 processor runs all the show on the device. The processor is complemented with 1 GB of RAM while internal memory is pegged at 4 GB which is expandable using a microSD card. An 8 megapixel camera on the rear with LED Flash has been included for all the photography needs of the users while a 2 megapixel front facing shooter will take care of all your video calling needs.



All basic connectivity including HSPA+ support (up to 42Mbps HSDPA), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v3.0, GPS with A-GPS and FM radio are included on the Acer Liquid E2. Though the smartphone runs on Android OS, Acer didn’t reveal the exact version which will arrive out-of-the-box. Not to miss, the Acer Liquid E2 also packs stereo speakers with DTS sound enhancement for the audiophiles and will be made available two variant – Single-SIM and Dual-SIM which will be region dependant. The smartphone will be made available in Black and White colour options and the Acer Liquid E2 will go on sale in mid-May in Belgium, Netherlands, Ukraine, France, followed by Spain, UK, Italy, Germany and Russia with a suggested retail price of just €229. No pricing information for the dual-SIM variant has been revealed yet. No details on the battery too.
