Asus is proud of its PadFone series and the company has today announced a new addition to it with the unveiling of the Asus PadFone E which arrives with a 4.7 inch HD display and a accompanying 10.1 inch tablet dock. Earlier the company has already made official, the Asus PadFone Mini and the PadFone Mini 4.3. The Asus PadFone E packs in a 4.7 inch IPS display with a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and comes with the Corning Gorilla Glass protection.


The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU and coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The internal storage is pegged at 16 GB which is further expandable up to 64 GB using a microSD card. The tablet dock has a 10.1 inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and has an anti-fingerprint coating on a Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The phone measures 139.6 x 69.7 x 9.08 mm and weighs about 126 grams while the PadFone dock measure about 181.5 x 263.6 x 17.44 mm and weighs 525.67 grams. The Asus PadFone E runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS and carries a sweet 13 megapixel camera on the back of the device with LED Flash while a 1.2 megapixel front camera on the phone and a 1 megapixel camera on the tablet. Connectivity wise, the Asus PadFone 4.7 comes with Dual-SIM, dual standby support while having the usual 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, miroUSB, Wi-Fi, aGPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone is powered by a 1820 mAh battery while the Padfone station has a powerful 5000 mAh of juice to keep it running.

To be available in White and Black colour options, the Asus PadFone E has been priced at 16,980 New Taiwanese Dollars with no news on the global availability yet but we should soon hear more from the company. What do you think about the Asus PadFone E? Shoot off in the comments section below.
