It was about a month ago when Canadian tech giant announced the BlackBerry Z30 with a large 5 inch HD Super AMOLED display and now, the company has announced the launch of the smartphone in the Indian subcontinent. The device has been priced at Rs.39,990 which is quite okay given that the dollar to rupee fluctuation is forcing companies to price their devices at a higher rate than what people are expecting.


Going by the specification, the BlackBerry Z30 has a 5 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while it is powered by a decent Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro dual-core processor clocking at 1.7 GHz coupled with 2 GB of RAM. Internal memory is pegged at 16 GB which will further be expandable using a micro SD card up to 32 GB. The BlackBerry Z30 has an 8 megapixel camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash on the back which is also capable of recording recording videos at 1080p. BlackBerry has also included a front facing 2 megapixel camera on the front for users to make video calls and make use of BBM Video.

The Z30 goes on to feature a new antenna technology which is called the BlackBerry Paratek Antenna which as per the company claims will improve reception and data speeds, even in low signal areas. The BlackBerry Z30 runs on BlackBerry 10.2 OS which has a number of improvements over the BB 10.1 OS. Connectivity wise, the smartphone supports 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, micro HDMI, NFC, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack. A powerful 2880 mAh battery. Priced at Rs.39,990, the BlackBerry Z30 will be available for users from next week.
