Dell is one company which has not been hesitant when it came to foraying into the smartphone and the tablet market apart from its usual Desktops and Laptops. And in one such attempt, the company has today announced the launch of two of its newest tablets, the Dell Venue 7 and the Dell Venue 8 which are powered on the Intel Atom processor while they both run on Google’s Android OS and pack in some decent specifications for a nice price tag.


First up is the Dell Venue Pro 7, which as the name suggests, carries a 7 inch IPS display, which has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, while it is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2760 processor coupled up with 2 GB of RAM and the internal memory pegged at 16 GB. This will be further expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot. Running on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box, the Dell Venue 7 is 9.6m thick and goes on to weigh about 235 grams. Dell has been kind enough to include a 5 megapixel rear camera on the tablet while a front facing VGA camera is also in tow. The connectivity options include WI-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth and optional 3G. There is a powerful 4100 mAh battery which is expected to give up to 10 hours of HD video playback to users.

Alongside the Dell Venue 7, the company has announced its 8 inch tablet called the Dell Venue 8 which has a display resolution same as the Venue 7 and so is the processor and the RAM on the tablet. Coming to the internal memory, the Dell Venue 8 tablet will be available in two options – 16 GB and 32 GB which will further be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card. The tablet runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS while there is a 5 megapixel auto focus camera on the back and there is a 2 megapixel camera on the front. A powerful 4100 mAh battery powers the Dell Venue 8.

The Dell Venue 7 and the Dell Venue 8 have been priced at Rs.10,999 and Rs.17,499 respectively for the 16 GB variant while the 32 GB variant of the Venue 8 will cost Rs.21,499.
