The month of September is surely going to be a great treat for prospective smartphone buyers in India as smartphone makers like Samsung, Sony and Nokia are planning to launch their next-generation flagship device in the Indian subcontinent this month. First up is Samsung, who has scheduled a launch event on September 17th in the capital city where the Korean giant will unveil the recently announced Samsung Galaxy Note 3 alongside the wearable Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 packs in a 5.7 inch full HD AMOLED display, is powered by a 2.3 quad-core processor or by a 1.9 GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. On the back there is a 13 megapixel camera while it runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with loads of customization from Samsung. Alongside the Note 3, Samsung will also make available the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch which is being publicized as a companion of the Galaxy Note 3.
Next up is the Sony Xperia Z1 smartphone which was recently unveiled at the IFA 2013 and will be the flagship device for the company this year replacing the Xperia Z. The Sony Xperia Z1 as the company says, packs in the best of Sony which just got better. The Z1 carries a 5 inch full HD display and is powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2 GB RAM. The major attraction of the SOny Xperia Z1 is the 20.7 megapixel camera on the back of the device which arrives with Sony’s G- Lens which arrives on Sony’s point-and-shoot camera. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean runs the show on the device a powerful 3000 mAh battery powers it. The Sony Xperia Z1 is scheduled to launch on September 18th.
It has been sometime now that Finnish giant Nokia (which will now be bought by Microsoft) launched the Nokia Lumia 1020 with a whooping 41 megapixel sensor with brilliant zoom and OIS and the smartphone is soon to launch in the Indian subcontinent as Nokia India has started to tease the launch of the Nokia Lumia 1020 on Twitter. Nokia India said the following the tweet:
And not to forget that even LG has started teasing its LG G2 for a launch in India on its Facebook page. September is going to be such an eventful and a tough month for the people of India as they are bound to be confused with which smartphone to buy this season. Oh and by the way, from what we are hearing, the Apple iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C will be launched in India in October.
