In the past couple of months, many Chinese smartphone manufacturers have entered the Indian market with loads of devices to compete with the big mobile phone giants and one of them is Gionee which has entered into India just a few months back and to challenge the biggies, the company has today announced the launch of the Gionee Elife E6 Android smartphone which packs in some nice specifications and all of it for a great price tag.

To start with, the Gionee Elife E6 arrives with a 5 inch full HD IPS display with OGS+ display. The pixel density on the device is pegged at 441PPI and the device is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage on the smartphone available to users will be 32 GB which is great but sadly there is no information on the availability of the microSD card slot. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with Amigo UI which is a custom skin by Gionee.

The Gionee Elife E6 packs a 13 megapixel camera 5-element lens along with BSI sensor and LED Flash while the front facing camera is about 5 megapixel with a 28mm wide angle lens. Connectivity wise, the Smartphone has 2G, 3G, WI-Fi, Bluetooth and 3.5mm audio jack while the device is powered by a 2000 mAh battery. The company has pre-loaded many apps like UC Browser, Gionee Game Zone, WeChat, NQ Mobile Securoty, Facebook and more. The Gionee Elife E6 will be available in Pearl White and Black colour options and the smartphone has been priced at Rs.22,999 which is just excellent for all the specification made available by the company on the device.

With this, we think that it is high time that big manufacturers also understand that it is time for them to price their flagship at an affordable price to save their market share in India.
