Back in November, we shared with you about Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee unveiling the Gionee Elife E7 smartphone with some super cool specifications and today the company has officially announced the launch of the device in the Indian subcontinent, where it is trying its best to capture a good number of market share with superb pricing and nice advertising. The Gionee Elife E7 was today unveiled in Delhi.


Gionee Elife E7 features a 5.5 inch full HD IPS touch screen with OGS and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection on it. The smartphone is powered by a powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2 GB RAM for 16 GB internal memory variant, while the 32 GB variant will have 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with Gionee’s very own Amigo 2.0 UI at the top of it which has some nice improvements over the Amigo 1.0 UI. On the back, the Gionee Elife E7 device has a nice 16 megapixel auto focus camera with Sapphire Lens and 1/2.3″ 1.34 µm sensor with LED Flash. The device has a cool 8 megapixel camera on the front which users can use to make video calls and chats.

The smartphone weighs just 150 grams and connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, USB OTG, 3.5mm audio jack, 2 microphones for noise cancellation and GPS. The Gionee Elife E7 is powered by a 2500 mAh battery. The smartphone wil be available in a range of colour options which include Meteor Black, Ceramic White, Blue, Green, Orange and Red while the device is priced at Rs. 26,999 for the 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM variant while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant will be avialable for Rs. 29,999. Prospective buyers will be able to buy the Elife E7 starts January 2014 in India. Going by the price and the specifications, the Gionee Elife E7 seems to be a great buy.
