Google Nexus 7 is already a hit in the market and Asus is lagging behind due to so many orders. As the festive season is close and we already preempted that some more companies will be bringing up tablets to compete with Nexus 7. There was some leaked information about Amazon cooking something new with the old Kindle Tablet and they have launched it. The Kindle Fire HD is an absolute charm and the screen is high resolution but somewhere Kindle Fire lacks the feel and power of Nexus 7.

Kindle Fire took a big chunk of Tablet sales in US and thus Google targeted it as its first competitor. Google Nexus 7 had all bells and rings to attract the customer and thus old Kindle Fire range was discontinued. Amazon decided to bring up an all new Tablet with better features and thus Kindle Fire HD is here. We will be comparing the differences both the tablets have and how they will compete with each other.

One of the disappointment that Amazon customers have to handle is the old Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on new Kindle Fire HD. Fire HD is also a bit heavier and bigger than Nexus 7 but still it is thinner. You will need to carry a bit heavier Tablet for a better battery backup. Kindle Fire defeats Google Nexus 7 with a 11 hour run time [ Nexus 7 gives only 8 hours]. Kindle Fire has some attractive features that get it a step ahead when compared to Nexus 7. The Dolby Digital Plus dual speakers and HD screen get it some extra points. Amazon is also boasting about the Dual Wi-Fi antenna built in compared to Nexus 7’s one.

For me this is the fight between Android 4.1 Jelly Bean [Nexus 7] and Amazon’s app store [Kindle Fire HD]. It is sure that within few months Amazon will be updating to latest Jelly Bean firmware so it’s better to go for Fire HD. But still some of my friends who have tested Kindle Fire HD and Nexus 7 believes that Nexus 7 packs more power and action than Fire HD. Some experts are also talking about the Nexus 7 hardware, software and pocket-friendly size is an unbeatable package.
