HTC went on to launch the HTC Desire 816 smartphone earlier this year and today, the company has announced the launch of a new variant of the device called the HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM which is basically a cheaper version of the Desire 816, thanks to the cheaper MediaTek processor which it runs on, instead of the Snapdragon 400 on the Desire 816.

The HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM comes with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while it is powered by a decent 1.3 GHz Quad-core MediaTek processor which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM which has also been downgraded from the 1.5 GB on the 816. The interal storage is pegged at 8 GB which will further be expadable using a microSD card slot. The HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM comes with front facing dual stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound and built-in amplifiers.

The HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM carries a 13 megapixel camera on the back with LED Flash while the device is a treat for selfie lovers as it has a nice 5 megapixel front facing camera. Carrying a 2600 mAh battery to keep the phone running all day long, the HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM comes with 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi and FM Radio when we consider the connectivitiy options. To be available in Red, Green, Purple, Black and White, the HTC Desire 816G Dual SIM has been priced at Rs.18,990 and will be available for buyers starting October.
