We just shared with you about the Facebook Home and everything that you need to know about it and now we are rounding up everything that we know about the HTC First smartphone which is the first smartphone to arrive with the Facebook Home pre-installed and will provide a true social networking experience to the buyers of the smartphone. We have known the special relation that Facebook and Taiwanese giant HTC has had since the past few year as the latter had even launched devices with dedicated Facebook button which offered used instant access to the timeline and more, just at a push of a button.

And this time around too, Facebook and HTC joined hands to unveil the First which will be available in the United States over AT&T’s 4G LTE network and later on, the smartphone will launch with EE and Orange in the United Kingdom and other European countries. The HTC First will be available in the US for $99 with a 2-year contract and will be going on sale starting April 12th, 2013 but if you are more of a contract-free person, then you will have to shell out about $450 to get the First.

The HTC First will be made available in four colour options viz. Black, White, Red, or Pale Blue and if for some reason, you are not happy with the Facebook Home, you will be easily able to switch to the stock Android 4.1 Jelly Bean UI according to a report but we will still wait for an official word from HTC on the same. Interestingly there is no Sense UI that has been integrated into the HTC First which shows that HTC must be quite confident with how the Facebook Home works and thus decided to skip Sense from the First. There is currently no information as to when the smartphone will go on sale globally but we feel that it might not happen any time soon.
