Just hours ago, we shared with you about the HTC One (M8) leaking at Rogers website and the company just went ahead and announced the launch of the HTC One (M8) which is the successor to the HTC One (M7) which was launched last year. The HTC One (M8) goes on to arrive with a all metal body and upgraded internals which include HTC Duo Camera, Snapdragon 801 processor and much more.


Officially, the HTC One (M8) comes with a 5 inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 proctection with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone will be available in 2.5 GHz / 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 GPU depending on the market coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The HTC One (M8) will be available in 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory options with capability to expand it up to 128 GB using a microSD card slot, which is a great news for the buyers. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with HTC Sense 6.0 UI on the top of it.

The HTC One (M8) comes with HTC’s very own trademark UltraPixel camera with dual LED Flash, BSI Sensor,F/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and something called HTC Duo Camera on the back which uses two cameras so you can choose what parts of the scene you’d like to emphasize, even after your shot has been taken. On the front, there is a 5 megapixel camera on the front.

2G, 3G, 4G LTE (country dependent), Bluetooth v4.0, aGPS, Wi-Fi, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack are the connectivity options available on the device. The smartphone runs on a 2600 mAh battery and the HTC One (M8) comes in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold color options with no specific availability dates or pricing has yet been revealed by the company. The company has also announced the launch of the HTC One (M8) Google Play & Developer Edition models
