HTC launched the HTC One (M8) in March earlier this month and following the tradition of announcing a mini version, the Taiwanese giant has announced the launch of a smaller variant of the its flagship smartphone called the HTC One Mini 2 which doesn’t carry the specifications on the lines of the flagship but some decent ones which are just okay, according to us. The HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 4.5 inch display which has a decent resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels which is unlike Sony Xperia Z1 Compact which comes with a full-HD display. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM while the internal memory is pegged at 16 GB which will be expandable up to 128 GB. The HTC One Mini 2 is powered by the latest version of Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense 6 with HTC BlinkFeed.

The HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash with BSI Sensor and an f/2.2 aperture. The camera is capable of recording videos at 1080p while the front camera is pegged at 5 megapixel with 1080p video recording capability. The phone comes with dual frontal speakers with HTC BoomSound for crisp and clear sound. Connectivity wise, the HTC One Mini 2 comes with 2G, 3G, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, GLONASS, Wi-Fi and 3.5mm audio jack while it is powered by 2100 mAh battery.

The HTC One Mini 2 will be available in three color options viz., Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold. And taking cue from the pricing released in Europe, the smartphone will be available for about €470.
