While the current phase might not be that good for Taiwanese giant HTC, the smartphone maker is all set to launch two of its Android smartphones in the Indian subcontinent. First up is the smaller version of its flagship device, the HTC One Mini which has just made an appearance on the Indian official website of the company with a ‘Coming soon’ tag and next is the HTC Desire 500 Dual which is expected to be a low to mid-range smartphone and has been listed on Snapdeal and Flipkart.

First up, the HTC One Mini arrives with a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while being powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and carries an internal storage of 16 GB. The HTC One Mini runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with HTC Sense 5 on the top of it with HTC BlinkFeed and the smartphone also packs in the HTC BoomSound with Beats Audio enhancement and the HTC Zoe coupled with the Ultrapixel camera with LED Flash and an 1.6 front facing camera. The device is powered by a 1800 mAh battery.

The HTC Desire 500 Dual on the other hand has just some decent specifications which include a 4.3 inch display boasting a 800 x 480 pixels resolution and being powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB RAM and about 4 GB of internal storage which will be further expandable using a microSD card slot up to 64 GB. There is an 8 megapixel camera with BSI sensor and LED flash on the back of the HTC Desire 500 while a 1.6 megapixel front camera has been included for video calls. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is said to run the show with HTC Sense 5 on the device and an 1800 mAh battery powers the dual SIM smartphone.

There is no information as to when the devices will be launched in India and how much they will cost but it should not be long before we hear it officially about the duo from HTC themselves. For now, Snapdeal states that the HTC Desire 500 Dual will be available in first week of October which is just round the corner.
