While the HTC One is just reaching markets as the Taiwanese giant seems to have solved component issues and the device also launching with a ‘Nexus user experience’ which will be sold on the Google Play Store, rumour about an upcoming smartphone or more likely to be called a ‘Phablet’ from the company have surfaced. It is the HTC T6 which the company is said to be working on and will arrive with a 5.9 inch display which will help it in targeting the Samsung Galaxy Note III head-on.

The details on the HTC T6 and its possible specifications come in from notorious leakster @Evleaks, who has been almost accurate when it comes to leaking specifications and press shots of upcoming unannounced devices. And according to the source the HTC T6 will arrive with a 5.9 ich full HD display while being powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage on the HTC T6 is pegged at 16 GB which we expect to be expandable using a microSD card slot.

HTC T6 is said to pack the UltraPixel camera with LED Flash like on the HTC One but with OIS while a 2.1 megapixel front camera with a wide-angle lens will be present on the front. The phablet will be powered by a powerful 3300 mAh battery. The most interesting part of this leak is that the source says that the HTC T6 will run on Android Key Lime Pie. Now this is interesting as HTC plans to launch the T6 by the end of summer or early fall and Google hasn’t made the OS official yet. Google didn’t announce an upgrade to the current Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and the next iteration which has been spotted is the Android 4.3 which is also expected to be called Android Jelly Bean.

Rumours also say that the HTC T6 will arrive with a sensor (kind-of biometric) on the back of the device which will unlock the phone when the user grips it. Also, HTC might introduce a power jacket accessory which would be a protective case with about 1250 mAh of battery to compliment the 3300 mAh battery of the HTC T6. The next few months are indeed going to be interesting as more details on the T6 are surely going to appear and we will keep a watch on them.
