Chinese giant Huawei is well known for manufacturing telecommunication equipments but also does manufacture its own Smartphones and the company is finally targeting the Indian market aggressively to compete with the likes of Micromax and others. And today the company has officially announced the launch of the Huawei Ascend P6 smartphone which is basically the thinnest smartphone in the world measuring just 6.18mm thick and includes some decent specifications.


The Huawei Ascend P6 packs in a nice 4.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display which is based on in-cell LCD screen and carries a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while being powered by a Huawei’s very own and powerful 1.5 GHz quad-core K3V2 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM while the internal memory is pegged at 8 GB which will further be expandable using a microSD card slot. The camera on the Huawei Ascend P6 is of 8 megapixel resolution with BSI sensor and f2.0 aperture while it is capable of capturing videos at 1080p. The front camera on the device is of 5 megapixel resolution.

The OS on the Huawei Ascend P6 is Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with the company’s very own Emotion UI. As we already told you, the smartphone is just 6.18mm thick and weighs just 120 grams. The connectivity options included on the P6 are 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. The device is powered by a 2000 mAh battery and will be available in White and Black colour options. Priced at Rs.29,990, the device will be available for about Rs.25,750 and will be available across the country.
