While Sony already has the Sony Xperia Z and Sony Xperia ZR for buyers, Samsung is also said to be readying the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, which leaked recently. And today LG has also announced the waterproof version of its flagship, Optimus G which is called the LG Optimus GJ.

The LG Optimus GJ which arrives with the model number LG E975W and has almost similar specifications as that of the Optimus G but the added advantage is that the smartphone can stay underwater – up to 1 meter – for up to 30 minutes without suffering any damage, thanks to the IPX7 certification that has been awarded to the smartphone. The LG Optimus GJ is a bit larger and thicker than the Optimus G and measures 136.9 x 68.9 x 9.9 mm while packing a 4.7 inch IPS HD Display, 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 2 GB of RAM.
