LG has lately been in love to launch it Vu series of smartphones with a 4:3 ratio display and today is no new. The company has today announced the launch of the LG Vu 3 which again packs in a display with an aspect ratio of 4:3 and measuring 5.2 inches, made up of IPS panel and with a HD resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. The LD Vu 3 has been amde official in Korea as of now and no information on the global availability is currently avaailable.


The LG Vu 3 is powered by the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocking in at 2.26 GHz with 480 MHz Adreno 330 GPU and is coupled with about 2 GB of RAM which will make the performance of the smartphone undoubtly great. There will be a 13 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the back which is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30 frames per second while a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera will be available for video chats and calls. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Connectivity wise the LG VU 3 packs in 2G, 3G and 4G LTE-Advanced which offers speed up to 150 Mbps and TDMB support in Korea. Apart from that Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS. Not to forget, the smartphone will also be accompanied by a Rubberdium stylus pen which can be used by users to input anything on the screen of the LG Vu 3 just like on the Samsung Galaxy Note series. Also, the device would arrive with an optional Quick View case which is transparent and and will let users change 7 different themes and shows the time, date, currency, messages and notifications.

LG has not shared any information on the battery and the storage on the device yet but the smartphone will be rolled out from September 27th in Korea and be available from SK Telecom (SKT), Korea Telecom (KT) and LG U+.
