We already know that Microsoft is on its way to buy Nokia as the company has already offered the Finnish giant a big cheque of $7.2 billion given that the shareholders of Nokia approve the buyout. With this, Microsoft has also made it clear that the Nokia Lumia branding will be unified and today an interesting leak has popped up which might have just given us a look at the forthcoming changes once the deal is closed.

First up is the Lumia 1820, which is said to be a forthcoming smartphone from the company and might also be the first device which will shed the Nokia branding and arrive just with the Lumia branding. While no details on the specifications of the Lumia 1820 are available just yet, we expect it to run on Microsoft’s Windows Phone General Distribution Release (GDR) 3 which will allow the smartphones to run on a quad-core processor and support full HD displays and many more changes.

In the leaked image, we can also catch a glimpse of “Cortana” which is said to be a Apple’s Siri-like personal assistant for the Windows Phone smartphones and phablet styled spacings of the Windows keys. The leaks come in from Qxerro on Twitter who has recently leaked a number of Windows Phone 8.1 screenshots and details on whats to come from Microsoft.

Along with the leaked image of the Lumia 1820, the user has also shared what seems to be the new Lumia logo along with the Microsoft’s Windows logo and is in line with the refined Surface logo which has been seen on the Surface 2 tablets which were launched yesterday and thus this leak seems to hold some credibility. But, please note that until we hear it officially from Microsoft about the Lumia 1820 and the new unified branding, take it all with a large grain of salt.
