Indian manufacturer Micromax has today taken a giant leap with the unveiling of the Micromax A116 Canvas HD which arrives with a 5 inch IPS HD display and is powered by MediaTek’s quad-core processor, a first from Micromax’s camp. Micromax’s previous launch in the Canvas series, the A110 Canvas 2 was received well by the buyers in the country and thus the company has today expanded the range with the launch of the Micromax A116 Canvas HD.
The 5 inch display on the Micromax A116 Canvas HD arrives with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a color depth of 16.7 million which provides a superb graphics and HD viewing experience. The smartphone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory on the Canvas HD is 4 GB which can be expanded upto 32 GB using a microSD card.
The Micromax A116 Canvas HD runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean which is a great plus for buyers and carries an 8 MP shooter on the rear with LED Flash and a front facing VGA camera for video calls with your friends and family. The smartphone gets all its juice from a large 2000 mAh battery. The Micromax A116 Canvas HD arrives with 3G connectivity for faster internet access apart from the usual options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
Micromax will make the A116 Canvas HD available in the market in the first week of February and the quad-core smartphone has been priced under Rs.15,000 which is a great move by the company as it will attract a lot of buyers.
