As we all know that the 5 inch screen range is now a passe and the next thing which mobile manufacturers are aiming are smartphone with a display around the 6 inch range. While there have already been launches from major companies like Samsung, HTC, Sony and even Nokia, Indian manufacturers who give these company a tough competition, are lagging behind, but not anymore. Indian company Micromax has today announced the launch of the Micromax Canvas XL A119 which packs in a 6 inch display with a decent qHD resolution.


The Micromax Canvas XL A119 has a 6 inch IPS touchscreen display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels, while it is powered by a powerful 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, which is coupled with about 1 GB of RAM, which is expected to be enough for the basic processing needs of the users. The Micromax Canvas XL A119 has 4 GB of internal memory which will be expandable up to 32 GB using a microSD card slot while it runs on the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.

The Micromax Canvas XL A119 has an 8 megapixel camera on the rear with LED Flash for the camera freaks while a nice 5 megapixel front facing camera has also been made available for users to make use of. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM, dual-standby capability while the connectivity options include 2G, 3G, Bluetooth, 3G, GPS, aGPS and 3.5mm audio jack. The Micromax Canvas XL A119 comes packed with a nice 2450 mAh battery which we suspect should do the job of keeping the device running for a nice number of hours.

The Micromax Canvas XL A119 has been priced at Rs.13,990 and will be available exclusively from HomeShop18 starting on January 19th from 10 am onwards. Also, the online retailer is bundling freebies and gifts worth Rs.6,498 with the Micromax Canvas XL A119 as a launch offer.
