We know that we have been off for some time now but from today we are back in business, bringing you all the latest from around the world in the world of mobiles and tablets. And to start with, Motorola has announced the launch of the Motorola Moto G which has packed in decent specifications and Motorola’s solid built quality and confidence at a very decent price tag.¬†Going by the specifications, the Motorola Moto G arrives with a 4.5-inch edge-to-edge HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 giving us a pixel density of 329 ppi coupled with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.


The Motorola Moto G will be powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305 GPU which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The smartphone will arrive with 8 GB and 16 GB of internal memory while the company has not included a microSD card slot to expand it further which is a setback.

The Motorola Moto G will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS while the latest iteration which is Android 4.4 KitKat will be made available sometime in January 2014 for the device. There is a 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the rear of the smartphone while the company has been kind enough to fit a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. It has a water resistant coating both on outside and inside for complete protection. The Moto G will be available with removable back covers and Flip covers in seven colors as well as Grip Shells in five colors while in select markets it will support FM Radio and Dual SIM connectivity.


Going by the pricing, the Motorola Moto G‘s 8 GB version will be available for $179 while the 16 GB has been priced at $199 and will be sold off-contract and unlocked bootloader starting with Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Canada and parts of Asia in the next few weeks while other countries including India will get the device in early January 2014.
