Search engine giant Google went on to buy Motorola last year and since then we have not seen the mobile phone manufacturer launch any new smartphones in the market but later this year, the company is expected to launch the now much rumoured Motorola X Phone or XFON as it is expected to be called and has been hinted in the newly leaked images. Popular and trustworthy leakster, @Evleaks has today posted a batch of images which show us the Motorola XFON for AT&T. While @Evleaks didn’t share any details on the specifications of the smartphone, PhoneArena has heard from its sources that the device which has leaked is indeed the real deal.

The Motorola X Phone is codenamed Ghost had also leaked sometime back in Vietnam under the model number Motorola XT912A. The Motorola X Phone in the leaked images above is concealed in a cover around it so that the true identity of the smartphone could be hidden when it is used outside but the back of the device is not covered by any cover and is the actual back and is made of polycarbonate material and not metal or Motorola’s favourite Kevlar.

Previous leaks have suggested that the Motorola X Phone will have a 4.7 inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels while the device is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. As promised by Motorola executives, the Smartphone will arrive with the stock Android OS but the version is still unknown. The Smartphone will run on a 2200 mAh battery while having a rear and front facing camera. Usual ports and connectivity options along with on-screen button will be available for users. The Motorola X Phone is expected to be announced sometime in early-June and is expected to launch on all major networks in the US.
