Nexus 5 images leak after being left in a bar, specs match
We already know that the next version of Google’s Android OS will go on to be called the Android 4.4 KitKat as it has been a ritual, Google is expected to release the next generation of its Nexus smartphone called the Nexus 5 with the brand new OS. Interestingly the Nexus 5 purported to be made again by LG, like the Nexus 4 was spotted and leaked by Google in the official Android 4.4 statue placement video.
And today a couple of images of the Nexus 5 have leaked online and were sent to 9to5Google from a person who got to play with the device for few minutes when a Google employee supposedly left the Nexus 5 device unattended for charging in a bar (Yes, you read it right, a bar). The bar employee was also able to make a quick video of the lock screen of the smartphone which is expected to run on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. We can see that the display of the Nexus 5 is larger and is said to be arriving with a 5 inch full HD display.
On the back of the device, we can see the Nexus branding in horizontal orientation and a huge camera. The Nexus 5 has a button-less front which is a common feature on the Nexus devices and the smartphone is less rounded than the LG NExus 4. The phone also carries a clear print of NOT FOR SALE which makes it clear that this is a prototype device which Google is testing and we can also see LG’s branding at the bottom which confirms that the Nexus 5 is again made by LG. The device is expected to be powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and a larger battery to keep the device running.
Intersingly, Google has also stopped selling the Nexus 4 in the US which also hints that the Nexus refresh is incoming and recent rumours suggests that the Nexus 5 could launch sometime in October.
