Yesterday, Nokia went on to bombard us all with quite a number of launches which included the Nokia Lumia 1520, Nokia Lumia 1320 and the Nokia Lumia 2520 Windows RT 8.1 tablet but the company did not shy away from also making official three more devices in its Asha series to target the buyers in the lower – price range market which has been a key area for the Finnish giant. Nokia launched a total of three feature phones namely the Nokia Asha 500, Nokia Asha 502 and the Nokia Asha 503, all which are the successor to the Nokia Asha 501 which was launched earlier this year.


To start with, the Nokia Asha 500 is the cheapest of the trio and arrives with a 2.8 inch display with a decent resolution of 320 x 240 pixels while running on the new Nokia Asha platform which debuted with the Asha 501. The device carries a 2 megapixel camera on the back and will be made available in both single-SIM and dual-SIM variant. Connectivity wise, it has 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 with SLAM and 3.5mm audio jack. The phone will support microSD card up to 64 GB and the battery is pegged at 1200 mAh. The Nokia Asha 500 arrives with a new design adopted by Nokia which is a crystal-clear look fusion of ice-like transparency and bold inner color and it will be available in Bright Red, Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, White and Black colors for $69 before taxes. The device will roll out in Q4 2013 in Africa, Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

Apart from this, Nokia has also launched the Nokia Asha 502 which is the first feature phone in the Asha series which comes packed with a 5 megapixel camera on the back with LED Flash while having a 3 inch display with 320 x 240 pixels resolution. The Nokia Asha 502 will also have dual-SIM capability with dual standby while having the facility to expand memory up to 32 GB using a MicroSD card slot. The device has 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with SLAM, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack for connectivity while a 1110 mAh battery to keep the device running. It will be available in Bright Red, Bright Green, Cyan, Yellow, White and Black colors and is priced at $89 with roll out planned in Q4 2013.


Last but not the least is the Nokia Lumia 503 which has the specifications very much similar to the Nokia Asha 502 but supports 3G network which was a promise which Nokia has fulfilled. Apart from this, the 3 inch QVGA display with Gorilla Glass 2 protection, dual-SIM with Dual standby, 1110 battery, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with SLAM and the 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash has been included in the Nokia Asha 503. Priced at $99, the device will be available in Q4 2013 in a variety of colors.
