It was back in October when Finnish tech giant Nokia went on to announce the launch of its first phablet, the flagship, the Nokia Lumia 1520 with a large 6 inch full-HD display alongside the mid-range Nokia Lumia 1320, also arriving with a 6 inch display but with HD resolution and today, the company sent out invites to the press stating that “Monday. The 16th is a BIG day for us,” thus confirming that it will launch the smartphones in India for prospective buyers.

Going by the specifications, the Nokia Lumia 1520 arrives with a huge 6-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS LCD display while being powered by a 2.2 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2 GB of RAM. There’s 16 GB of internal storage along with an option to expand it using a microSDcard.  It has a 20 megapixel PureView camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), dual LED Flash and capability to record videos at 1080p. The front camera with wide angle lens is of 1.2 megapixel resolution. A new app called the Nokia Camera is available for users and the Nokia Lumia 1520 is powered by a 3400 mAh battery.

Next is the Nokia Lumia 1320 which has a 6 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) LCD IPS Super sensitive display and has Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is also powered by dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocking at 1.7 GHz. This is coupled with 1 GB of RAM while the internal memory is pegged at 8 GB which will further be expandable up to 64 GB using a microSD card. The Nokia Lumia 1320 carries a decent 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash while a VGA front facing shooter is also available. The battery is pegged at 3400 mAh which will give users enough juice to keep the device running all day long.

We do not know at what price point will the device be launched but do not expect at least the Nokia Lumia 1520 to come cheaper. We will bring you more news once the devices are launched in India on Monday. Stay tuned to us !
