The Nokia Lumia 520 has been the best-selling device for the Finnish giant and as per the market share, it is also holding a majority in the Windows Phone market. The best thing about the device was that it was affordable and provided a nice change from the Android smartphones with Nokia’s build quality and now, Nokia has announced the launch of the successor of the smartphone called the Nokia Lumia 525 which just betters with double the RAM compared to the Lumia 520.


The Nokia Lumia 525 arrives with a decent 4 inch IPS display with a screen resolution of 800 x 480 pixels while packing in Nokia’s super sensitive touch for finger nail and glove usage. The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor. The Lumia 520 arrived with 512 MB of RAM while Nokia has doubled this with the Nokia Lumia 525 by providing 1 GB of RAM which will surely make the device faster and also make a lot of apps compatible with the device and let users more on their smartphone. The Lumia 525 runs on Windows Phone GDR3 update with Nokia Black out-of-the-box.

Internal memory is pegged at 8 GB which will further be expandable up to 64 GB using a microSD card slot. There is a 5 megapixel auto focus camera on the back of the Nokia Lumia 525 while Nokia gives the front camera a miss. Connectivity wise, the Nokia Lumia 525 has 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. The battery is pegged at 1430 mAh which should last a day with normal usage. The Nokia Lumia 525 will be available in Orange, White and Yellow colour options while there is no information on the pricing or the availability as yet.

We are sure that the Nokia Lumia 525 will also go on to sell well if Nokia gets the pricing of the device right and makes it available soon.
