Last month, Nokia had announced the launch of a range of smartphones running on the latest iteration of the Windows Phone 8.1 OS and one of them was the Nokia Lumia 630. And today, the company has officially announced the launch of the budget smartphone in the Indian market for a great price tag. Another speciality of the Nokia Lumia 630 is that it will also be the first smartphone to come with the much-awaited dual-SIM connectivity on Windows Phone.

The Nokia Lumia 630 comes with a nice 4.5 inch display which has a screen resolution of 854 x 480 pixels while the smartphone is powered by a powerful Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor clocking at 1.2 GHz coupled with 512 MB of RAM, which might be to keep the price down. The internal storage on the device is pegged at 8 GB which will be expandable using a microSD card slot. The phone is also the first to have on screen buttons instead of the capacitive controls which we have seen on Windows Phone devices, till date.

The Lumia 630 runs on the newly announced Windows Phone 8.1 OS which brings loads of new features which include Cortana, new Creative Studio app, A notification centre, Swipe-like keyboard for quick typing, SensorCore technology and more.

The Nokia Lumia 630 carries a decent 5 megapixel auto focus camera while giving the front facing camera amiss. The phone comes with 2G, 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB, Wi-Fi, 3.5mm audio jack and GPS connectivity options. The device is powered by a powerful 1830 mAh battery which should be great to give users a nice backup. The phone will be available in both single SIM and dual-SIM options and has been priced at Rs.10,500 and Rs.11,500 respectively. The phone will be available in bright orange, white, black, bright green and bright yellow colour options. Availability from May 16th, 2014.

For this price range, we feel that the well selling Moto G from Motorola will be a better buy for users than the Nokia Lumia 630.
