After seeing Nokia launch the Nokia Lumia 928 and the official images of the Nokia Lumia 925 leak, the Finnish tech-giant has today gone ahead and officially unveiled the smartphone which arrives with a thinner profile and an aluminium casing to make it lighter though the back of the device is still made up of polycarbonate material. The Nokia Lumia 925 measures just 8.5mm thick and arrives with a 4.5 inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels while the device is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with 1 GB RAM.

The internal storage on the Nokia Lumia 925 is pegged at 16 GB though sadly there is no microSD card slot for memory expansion. The camera on the Nokia Lumia 925 is the same as that on the Nokia Lumia 928 except that the Flash on the 925 is not Xenon but LED. The main camera is a 8.7 megapixel resolution and arrives with the Carl Zeiss optics, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and even better low light capability. Nokia has announced a feature called the Best Shot, which will allow users to choose the best of the 10 shots. A 1.2 megapixel front camera is also available. Windows Phone 8 OS and a 2000 mAh will run the show on the Lumia 925.

Nokia also announced Hipstamatic’s new app, Oggl, will arrive on Nokia Lumia smartphones, allowing people to take and share high quality pictures with like-minded creative and photography enthusiasts from around the world. In addition to sharing photos on Oggl, users can simultaneously share photos on social networks including Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, Flickr and Instagram.

The polycarbonate back comes in White, Gray and Black color options while a wireless charging cover can be clipped onto the back of the phone to take advantage of wireless charging feature. The Covers which will be sold separately, come in White, Black, Yellow and Red. Sales of the Nokia Lumia 925 are expected to start in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and China in June which will be followed by the US and a number of other markets and going by the pricing, the Nokia Lumia 925 will be available for around 469 EUR before taxes and subsidies.
