Nokia has an event scheduled for May 14th, 2013 where we expect the Finnish giant to unveil the Nokia Lumia 928 smartphone which has been the talk of the town for quite some time now. Interestingly, yesterday Nokia made the Nokia Lumia 928 official by posting an image on a teaser site which talked about how users will be able to “Capture the Highlights”. An an ad in Vanity Fair went on to mention that the Nokia Lumia 928’s camera (8.7 megapixel, same as the Lumia 920) has the presence of optical image stabilization complete with Carl Zeiss optics and Nokia’s PureView technology along with a Xenon Flash.

And today Nokia has posted a video on the teaser site in which the company has compared the Nokia Lumia 928‘s camera with that of the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Apple iPhone 5 and going by what we are shown, the camera on the 928 is surely a winner out front. Also, the teaser site gives us a look at the side and the top of the Lumia 928 ‘officially’. And it is good to see Nokia is coming out in the open and teasing us with loads of things which its new ‘Hero’ device has instead of keeping it under the wraps and only spilling all the beans on the stage.

While the Nokia Lumia 928 will be launching on Verizon’s network in the US, it is being rumored that the international variant of the 928 will be called the Nokia Lumia 925. We are just a few days away from the official unveiling of the Nokia Lumia 928 and before that Nokia also has a refresh planned for its low-end Asha series which is scheduled to be held in New Delhi, India tomorrow i.e. 9th May, 2013. Until then catch the Nokia Lumia 928 battle it out with the Samsung Galaxy S III and the Apple iPhone 5 in the camera field in the video below.
