Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo, which entered the Indian subcontinent recently went on to announced the launch of another smartphone for prospective buyers called the Oppo R1 which has been priced at Rs.26,990 which as per us, is a bit over priced in the price-sensitive Indian market. The Oppo R1 comes with a 5 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection while the display resolution is pegged at 1280 x 720 pixels.

The smartphone is powered by a powerful 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor with 1 GB of RAM while the internal memory is pegged at 16 GB. There is no slot for expanding the memory which is not a good news. The Oppo R1 comes with Dual-SIM (GSM + GSM) connectivity while the smartphone is powered on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS with no news on an upgrade for the smartphone. There is an 8 megapixel camera on the back with LED Flash which has a BSI snedor and f/2.0 aperture.

The Oppo R1 comes with a 5 megapixel front facing camera which has an 80 degree wide-angle lens. The phone is 7.1mm thick and weighs 140 grams while users will enjoy customized acoustic optimization for headphones with the Dirac HD technology. The Oppo R1 comes with ceramic back and gold rims on the sides. Connectivity options like 2G, 3G, wi-Fi, Bluetooth are also available to users. The smartphone is powered by a 2410 mAh battery which should be enough to give a decent backup to user.

Oppo has also shared that the company will go on to launch a few more smartphones in India thus expanding its portfolio and giving buyers more options to choose from, which is a great news.
