Panasonic is better known for its consumer electronic products but the company is also interested in capturing as much market as it can in the smartphone field and thus the company has announced the launch of a new device called the Panasonic P31 which packs in some decent specifications and also arrives with a pretty decent price tag too, which is great to see from the company. Going by the specifications, the Panasonic 31 comes with a nice 5 inch capacitive display with a resolution of 854 x 480 which is not awesome but is just fine for normal usage.


The display comes with Ultra Oleophobic coating to prevent finger prints and the device is powered by a powerful 1.3 GHz quad-core processor while this is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. There is a nice 8 GB of internal memory on the device which will further be expandable up tp 32 GB using a microSD card slot. The Panasonic P31 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS which has become a standard for all the new smartphones.

The Panasonic P31 has an 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the back which is capable of recording videos at 1080p while there is an okayish VGA front facing camera. The smartphones comes with 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack going by the connectivity options. The Panasonic P31 has a powerful 2000 mAh battery to keep the smartphone running which should give users a much-desired longer backup. Apart from all the hardware, Panasonic has taken the pain to include a variety of software features on to the device which include Pop-i Player which is a multitasking capable Video player, Ultimate Saver to conserver battery, Gesture Play, draw-to-unlock feature and more.

The Panasonic P31 will be available in Pure White and Bluish Black colour options while the price tag has been set at Rs.11,990 for the device but the company is also said to be offering freebies worth Rs.10,390 with the device.
