Samsung Galaxy Note users rejoice! Samsung finally started rolling out Android Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Note. This phone cum tablet device initially shipped with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. After release of  Galaxy Note, Samsung promised Ice Cream Sandwich Update for this device. But due to some reasons the ICS update for Note was pushed back to second quarter of 2012. Before this official ICS update for Note, some leaked ICS ROM and Cyanogen ICS ROM was available for Galxy Note. The latest Android ICS update for Galaxy Note brings all goodies of ICS and Samsung included some nice premium apps for Note users. They have released a video of Galaxy Note running Ice Cream Sandwich and sneak peek of the premium suite.

According to our sources this ICS update for Samsung Galaxy Note is currently available to some German users. Soon this update will be available for global users. These is no official change log of this Galaxy Note ICS update, but from the screenshot we can see that this update bring latest Android ICS 4.0.3 with Samsung’s Touchwiz skin. ‘New S Note’ and ‘New S Memo’ apps with advance features comes bundled with this update.

What’s new in Samsung Galaxy Note ICS update? 

The update size is about 320MB and it is available through OTA and Samsung Kies desktop software. If you have not received this update notification then go to Settings -> About Phone -> Software update -> Update to check latest software for your Note. According to some users the version number of this update is PDA: N70000XXLC1, PHONE: N70000XXLB2, CSC: N70000CPWLB2. Initially this update will be available for all unlocked SIM free version of Samsung Galaxy Note devices and later operator locked devices will get this Android 4.0 update. Before this update Android ICS update was released for popular Samsung Galaxy SII. We hope soon Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 will receive promised Ice Cream Sandwich update.
