Yesterday, we shared with you about the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 with S-Pen and the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 whose images and specifications were leaked by popular leakster @EvLeaks. And today, Korean giant Samsung went on to officially announce the two tablets which arrive with identical specifications which include a 12.2 WQXGA display and quad-core processors.


To begin with, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 with S-Pen, as the name suggests has a 12.2 inch display of the display resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels and has support for the S-Pen Stylus, as on all the other Note-branded devices. The tablet will come in two variants, depending on the processors which power it and those include the Exynos 5 Octa (1.9GHz x 4 + 1.3GHz x 4) or the 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 coupled with 3 GB of RAM while the internal storage is pegged at 32 GB and 64 GB. The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 has an 8 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the back with a 2 megapixel camera on the front having video chats and more.

The tablet comes with Android 4.4 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box with Samsung’s own TouchWiz UI on the top of it. Connectivity wise, the tablet has 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi MIMO, USB 3.0, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3.5mm audio jack. There is a large 9500 mAh battery to power the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2.


Next up is the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 which has similar specifications as that of the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 except for the support for the S-Pen Stylus. Both the tablets come with a faux leather finish on the back, just like on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Samsung has said that both the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and the Samsung Galaxy TabPRO 12.2 will be available in Q1 2014 but there are no details on the pricing of the tablets yet.

Samsung has also said that, for additional value and productivity right out of the box, the Samsung Galaxy NotePRO 12.2 and the TabPRO 12.2 will feature up to approximately $700 worth of the premium pre-paid, long-term subscription offers from best-selling news, social media and cloud storage providers, including: Bitcasa, Bloomberg Businessweek+, Blurb, Cisco WebEx Meetings, Dropbox, Easilydo Pro for Tablet, Evernote, Hancom Office for Android, LinkedIn, LIVESPORT.TV, NY Times, Oxford Advanced Learner’s A-Z, and Sketchbook Pro which may may vary by region.
