After months of rumours and a number of leaks, Korean giant Samsung has today officially announced the mini-version of the Galaxy S4 smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and specifications of the smartphone go on to match those which the leaks had suggested. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini carries a 4.3 inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) Super AMOLED display in comparison to the 5 inch full-HD display on the Galaxy S4.

And it is powered by a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor while make of it is still unknown but we should have more details soon. There is 1.5 GB of RAM to support the processor while there is 8 GB of internal storage, of which only 5 GB will be available for the users. But this will be expandable up to 64 GB using a microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini runs on the latest Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. Samsung has included an 8 megapixel camera on the back of the smartphone with LED Flash while a 1.9 megapixel full-HD front camera will be available for users to make video calls.

A 1900 mAh battery will power the S4 Mini and connectivity wise the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini has Wi-Fi, IR remote control, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack and the smartphone will be supporting either 4G LTE, or 3G HSPA+ or 3G Dual SIM which will be determined by the market. It will be available in two colors, White Frost and Black Mist and will be showcased at the Samsung Premier 2013 event on June 20th. No details on the availability or pricing of the smartphone was shared.
