Back at the Mobile World Congress 2014 last month, Korean giant Samsung went on to announce the launch of its new flagship called the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the company also announced that the smartphone along with the Samsung Gear 2 and Samsung Gear Fit will be made available around the world starting April 11th, 2014. And according to the reports doing the rounds, it seems that Samsung is all set to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 in India on March 27th with the device getting available by April 11th in line with the global availability.

Samsung had announced that it plans to price the Galaxy S5 a bit lower than that of the other flagships that it launched but we are still expecting it to launch for a higher price tag, something around Rs.45,000 price range. To recap, the Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 5.1 inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. We are not sure if Indian buyers will get a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocking at 2.5 GHz powered Galaxy S5 or an Exynos powered (if there is one) but it will be available in at least 16 GB and 32 GB internal memory options with an option to expand it using a microSD card slot. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is powered on Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 carries a 13 megapixel with LED flash and capability to record UHD videos. There is a 2 megapixel on the front for video calls and taking selfies. The smartphone comes with a powerful 2800 mAh battery to power it. he Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with IP67 Ingress rating making it dust and water resistant and the device also has a 2800 mAh battery with a Ultra Power Saving Mode which will turn the display to Black and White and also close unwanted processes which will result in providing users extra backup in those crucial ‘low-battery situations’. Oh and not to forget, the Samsung Galaxy S5 also has a fingerprint scanner which will help you safeguard your personal information and also in mobile payments.
