Samsung announced the launch of its latest flagship earlier this month called the Samsung Galaxy S5 which went on to pack in a lot of new features and improvements including a better processor, fingerprint scanner, water and dust resistance and much more and will be available for buyers stating April 11th 2014. But the main deciding and crucial factor is the pricing of the smartphone and as per the announcement by Samsung, it is planning to make available, the Galaxy S5 for a price lesser than what the Galaxy S4 was launched for but that is not how things might be in the next few days.

Now, Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom reports that the Samsung Galaxy S5 would be priced at Rs. 51,500 in India at the time of launch and starting March 28th the smartphone available for a pre-booking for Rs. 1500. Oh and Citibank Credit Card holders will get 15% Cash Back on EMI of 6/12/18 months at applicable interest rates. So, if we calculate, the buyers will be able to get the device for Rs.43,700. The Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with a 5.1 inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB of RAM. Internal storage options available for users are 16 GB and 32 GB with an option to expand up to 64 GB.

Android 4.4.2 KitKat OS with TouchWiz OS runs on the smartphone and a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and capability to record 4K videos is available on the phone with 2.1 megapixel front facing camera. There is a 2800 mAh battery to power the smartphone and IP67 rating making it dust and water resistant. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is to go official tomorrow in India and Samsung might just announce the price where Rs.51,500 is the MRP, while the street price is expected to be much lower and we really hope it does.
