In our earlier article we reported that Samsung has started rolling out official Ice Cream Sandwich update for Galaxy Tab 7.7 and this update will be available for other tablets soon. It seems that Samsung has kept their promise, finally the long-awaited Android Ice Cream Sandwich update is available for Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. This official ICS update is currently available in some regions like  Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom. Last year, Samsung announced that Galaxy Tab series will be receiving the official ICS update. Before Galaxy Tab series, Samsung released ICS update for popular Samsung Galaxy SII and Galaxy Note. This Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Official Ice Cream Sandwich update (v 4.0.4) brings several new features and performance improvements. The most noticeable change of the last update is the overall performance boost, after installing ICS on Galaxy Tab 10.1 it became faster than the stock Honeycomb 3.2.

Here is the list of all Samsung Galaxy Tab models which are going to receive the official ICS update very soon-

  • GT-P6210 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI
  • GT-P6200 Galaxy Tab Plus 7.0 WIFI + 3G
  • GT-P6810 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI
  • GT-P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 WIFI + 3G
  • GT-P7310 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI
  • GT-P7300 Galaxy Tab 8.9 WIFI + 3G
  • GT-P7510 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI
  • GT-P7500 Galaxy Tab 10.1 WIFI + 3G

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 3G version ( GT-P7500) or Wi-Fi only version (GT-P7510) users can update it to latest Ice Cream Sandwich using the Samsung Kies or the OTA (Over-The-Air) update. If you still have not received the update notification then don’t worry, it will be available in your region very soon. If you are familiar with custom ROM flashing with Odin, then head over to the XDA forum and grab the Ice Cream Sandwich ROM 9P7500XXLQ8 for GT-P7500 and P7510XXLPH for GTP7510 version of  Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1.
