Last year Sony went on to announce the Xperia Z tablet which was waterproof and packed in some nice specifications. And a year later, the company has announced its successor, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet which arrives with even better specifications and design and hey, it is still water and dust resistant. To start with, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has a 10.1 inch full HD WUXGA (1920 x 1200 pixels) TRILUMINOS Display for mobile with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2.

And the tablet is powered by the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocking at 2.3 GHz and comes with Adreno 330 GPU while being coupled with 3 GB of RAM. We are sure, with this combo, the performance of the tablet will be top-notch. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet measures 266 x 172 x 6.4mm while it weighs about 426 grams for the Wi-Fi version and the LTE version will weigh about 239 grams. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with Sony’s own customized UI on the top of it, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will have 16 GB of internal storage which will further be expandable using a microSD card slot.

The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with an 8 megapixel camera with Exmor R sensor on the back of the tablet while a decent 2.2 megapixel camera will be available for users on the front for having video chats and more. The tablet is water and dust resistant with Ingress IP55 and IP58 ratings and the connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, MHL 3.0, GPS, optional 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, FM Radio with RDS and 3.5mm audio jack. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet comes with a powerful 6000 mAh battery which should be enough to keep it running with a normal usage and the tablet will be made available in Black Or White colour options starting in March 2014. No details on the price of the tablet were shared by Sony.
