A few days back we shared with you an upcoming smartphone from XOLO which was game-centric called the XOLO Play T1000. And today, the company has officially launched the XOLO Play for prospective buyers. While XOLO is known for its Smartphones running on the Intel processors and lately the company also launched Android Smartphones on MediaTek’s processor, the XOLO Play comes packed with the powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor which will provide a vivid gaming experience on the mobile phone.


The XOLO Play carries a 4.7 inch display of the IPS panel with One Glass Solution (OGS) Technology and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. As we know, the NVDIA Tegra 3 is a quad-core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz with a 5th battery-saver core and the GPU is a 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce and this is coupled with about 1 GB of RAM so the processing on the XOLO Play will undoubtedly be great. The internal memory of the XOLO Play is pegged at 4 GB which will be further expandable using a microSD card up to 32 GB.

The XOLO Play carries an 8 megapixel camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash on the rear and will be capable of recording videos at 1080p. The front camera will be of 2 megapixel resolution. The connectivity options include the usual Bluetooth, WI-Fi, 2G, 3G, GPS and 3.5mm audio jack and more. The XOLO Play runs on Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box and the battery is pegged at 2000 mAh which seems to be decent enough to keep it running all day on normal usage.

The smartphone will also support games via the NVIDIA TegraZone which will let users to play some great games on their XOLO Play. The Smartphone has been priced at Rs.15,999 which seems to be decent enough given the powerful processor that the device is arriving with. Will you buy one?
