Last week we told you that the XOLO Play Tegra Note went on pre-order in India and we already know that the tablet was to be announced officially today and as expected, the company has officially announced the launch of the XOLO Play Tegra Note. The XOLO Play Tegra Note is originally developed by silicon chip maker NVIDIA as the NVIDIA Tegra Note running on the Tegra 4 processor and will be made available to various partners who will be able to customize the tablet. And thus XOLO was chosen for the Indian market.


The XOLO Play Tegra Note arrives with a 7 inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels which is good for a tablet in the price range it comes while it is powered by a powerful 1.8 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with 72 cores NVIDIA GeForce GPU which is coupled with 1 GB of RAM. The internal memory on the tablet is pegged at 16 GB which will be further expandable up to 64 GB using a microSD card. The XOLO Play Tegra Note runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS while the tablet measures just 9.6mm thick and weighs about 320 grams.

The XOLO Play Tegra Note comes with 5 megapixel auto focus camera with HDR and there is a front facing VGA camera for users to make video chats. Connectivity wise, the Tegra Note packs in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microHDMI port. The XOLO Play Tegra Note comes with support for NVIDIA DirectStylus technology and also comes with a stylus pen. There is a 4100 mAh battery which according to the company will give users up to 10 hours of HD video playback. Available in Black, the XOLO Play Tegra Note is available for Rs.17,999 which is a nice price tag for the specifications and the company will also make a Slide Cover and DirectStylus Pro Pack available separately.
